Cookie Policy
Last updated : June 2026. Belya S.A. — Luxembourg.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, enhance user experience, and provide information to website owners.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
2. Cookies We Use
Belya uses a minimal set of cookies. We prioritize your privacy and do not use cookies for advertising, tracking across websites, or profiling.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function properly. They enable core features such as authentication, session management, and security. The platform cannot function without them.
- Session cookie: maintains your login session while you are authenticated
- CSRF token: protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Privacy-Friendly)
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics platform, to collect anonymized, aggregated data about platform usage. Umami does not use cookies by default and does not track individual users. No personal data is collected, and no data is shared with third parties.
The data collected includes:
- Pages visited (URL only, no query parameters)
- Referrer website
- Browser type and operating system (anonymized)
- Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Country-level location (approximate, not precise)
This data is used solely to understand which content is most valuable to our users and to improve the platform.
2.3 Functional Cookies
We may store a cookie to remember your cookie preferences so we do not show the cookie notice on every visit.
3. Third-Party Services and Cookies
Belya does not use third-party cookies for advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking. We do not integrate with Facebook, Google Ads, or similar advertising platforms.
We use the following third-party services that may set strictly necessary cookies or use similar technologies for security and functionality:
- Cloudflare Turnstile: a privacy-friendly CAPTCHA service used to protect our signup form from bots and abuse. Turnstile may set a strictly necessary cookie for security verification. No personal data is collected for advertising or tracking purposes.
- Netlify: our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for content delivery network (CDN) functionality, load balancing, and security. These cookies do not collect personal data for marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis
Under EU law (ePrivacy Directive and GDPR):
- Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements. They are essential for the functioning of the platform.
- Analytics cookies used by Belya (Umami) do not require consent because they are privacy-friendly, do not track individual users, and collect only anonymized, aggregated data. This falls under the legitimate interest exception.
We do not use any cookies that require prior consent under EU law.
5. How to Control Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:
- Delete all cookies stored on your device
- Block cookies from being set
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Belya platform from functioning correctly.
